When Fucking Spring is in the Air is a punky feel-good road movie about 17-year-old Kasia, a rebellious Polish girl, and her worthless family. When her grandmother dies and she finds herself penniless, it's time she finds out the truth about her parents' emigration and their money. She embarks on the inevitable 'coming of age' journey and discovers that her family is not at all what she had expected.

Danyael Sugawara, born May 17, 1975 in Sapporo, is a Japanese-Polish director and screenwriter, living in the Netherlands. His first feature film Upstream won a.o. a Golden Calf in the Netherlands and a White Iris Award in Brussels for most promising directing debut. This is his second feature film.
